Privacy Issues

 

 

The Society will:

  • Use surveillance video tapes to record all entries to and departures from Heritage Heights

  • Protect the confidentiality of tenants personal information

  • Keep tenants informed about privacy policies and practices and any changes that are adopted from time to time

  • Allow tenants to see their personal information

  • Allow tenants to review its Privacy Policies

 

The Society may disclose a tenant's personal information:

  • To members of the Executive Committee on an 'as needed' basis

  • To the family member, friend or other individual designated by the tenant to have the responsibility of being the 'contact person' for their care

  • To the police or other individual involved in a legal investigation of an incident at Heritage Heights or involving a tenant

  • To a medical professional responsible for a tenant's care.

 

The Society commits to securing your personal information:

  • In a locked filing cabinet at Heritage Heights according to policy

  • On a secure computer database offsite

  • Surveillance video tapes will be stored in a locked filing cabinet and retained according to policy.
